From the past few days...

After the weekly doctor's visit on Monday (Emily loves those - not really), he scheduled us to be induced next Thursday if the baby hasn't come before then...so in an attempt to live up the final days of coupledom, here's how we've been spending our time.

*Emily enjoyed her last day of work at SBS on Tuesday until August.

*After Jon put together the jog stroller (compliments of great grandparents, Fancy and Daddy Mike) we gave it a test run..., it's all good to go!
*The fabulous aunts from Marietta sent their love with a beautiful bassinet for the bedroom, Jon also lovingly assembled it.  Sweet pea will only be an arm's length away from mom and dad!

*Shaquille O'Neal came into CFA in Pearland for a quick drink.

*Jon got a cool iPhone from his boss so he can be prepared for any last minute phone calls from pregnant lady.

*We had a rocking NCAA Championship Game Party at the house (the girls were bored after 10 minutes and moved upstairs to watch the Bachelor) and the guys had a great time singing "One Shining Moment."

*Pam and Paul Thompson, two of our most trusted mentors in Houston, took us to dinner for some final "tips" on parenting.  The 2 greatest tips....nobody cares how much or little you sleep and kids are not a good financial investment - just teasing,  of course, those weren't their only words of wisdom - they encouraged us to enjoy every stage and to
keep the marriage a priority. We never walk away without practical and solid advice from them.
Any other advice for soon to be parents?  Leave your thoughts below...
